‘Tis the season. That’s right, it’s time for marketing experts and martech vendors to trot out annual predictions on tomorrow’s top digital trends, all angling for your attention (and budget) in the new year. These articles get a lot of clicks. After all, who doesn’t want to find a competitive advantage, marketing tool or platform that can be implemented immediately or a digital strategy proven by others that fits your audience?
But before we get lost in yet another list article, shouldn’t we first look at why we’re interested in “the next thing” and how it would fit in if we had it?
